2014 Broadley Vineyards Marcile Lorraine

Spring, 2016

2014 Broadley Vineyards Marcile Lorraine

Marcile Lorraine Marcile Lorraine, named for founder Craig Broadley’s mother, is produced each year from the same distinctive block of old vine Pinot Noir. In production we use a cooler fermentation, tighter-grained wood, and low toast barrels. The result is a big, jammy, spicy, wine with plenty of upfront dark fruit character—the kind of wine that lots of people love!

Wine Making Notes:
150 cases produced. Blend of Wädenswil and Pommard, the majority Wädenswil. Wild yeast fermentation. Fermented in a 1.5 open top oak fermentor for 14-21 days. Starting with pump overs and then two punch downs a day. 40% new Taransaud barrels the balance neutral. 14-18 months in barrel.
